Announcing New Passport Requirements.

The Department of Homeland Security currently requires all U.S. Citizens traveling to or from the United States via Air, Land or Sea to carry a valid passport.

Land & Sea Travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean has currently been excluded from this requirement. For these destinations you need to present documentation that proves both identity and citizenship. Identification documents must include a photo, name and date of birth.

We recommend that all U.S. Citizens traveling outside of the U.S. carry a valid passport at all times. Please note that any travel documents including visas, passports and proof of immunizations are the sole responsibility of the traveler.

Some foreign countries, such as Brazil, require that you obtain a visa or you will not be allowed to enter the country. Since countries can change their requirements frequently, we highly recommend that you consider using a reputable Visa Service to help you with documentation and visa processing.

Additionally, we recommend frequently checking the www.travel.state.gov website and/or the appropriate consulates for the latest visa, immunization, customs, and passport information for all ports of call and countries and on your itinerary.

Please note that many countries require a U.S. passport be valid for at least 6 months beyond the conclusion of your trip. Non US Citizens may have entirely different requirements and should check the embassy, consulate, INS, or similar organization for their country of citizenship.
